PT Kaitai Valve Indonesia (“KVI”, “we”, “us”) is the official Indonesian entity of Kaitai Valve (Group) Co., Ltd. (“KVG”), the manufacturer of KATA-brand industrial valves since 1998, headquartered in Shanghai, the People's Republic of China, with its manufacturing plant in Wenzhou.

What personal data we collect
Information you send us voluntarily. This is an informational website: there are no user accounts, no logins, no web forms, no analytics or advertising trackers, and we set no cookies of our own. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us — normally by email or through a “Request a Quote” email link.
- identification and contact details you include in your message — name, company, job title, email address, telephone number, country;
- the content of your inquiry — for example valve type, size, pressure class, quantity, project requirements and any documents you attach;
- any other information you choose to include in your correspondence with us.
Technical information. Like virtually every website, this site is served on hosting infrastructure that records routine technical logs — IP address, pages requested, timestamps and user agent — for security, capacity and operational purposes. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors, and we do not combine them with any other data.
How we use your data
We use the personal data you send us only in connection with your inquiry:
- to respond to your message and answer your technical or commercial questions;
- to prepare and send quotations for KATA industrial valves;
- to follow up on quotations and inquiries at your request;
- to send documents you ask for, such as catalogues, drawings or certificates;
- to keep the commercial records we are required to keep under Indonesian law.
We process this data in order to take steps at your request towards a possible transaction, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering inquiries. Where Indonesian law requires consent, we will ask for it separately.
When we share personal data
We do not sell, rent or otherwise trade personal data. We share it only:
- with Kaitai Valve (Group) Co., Ltd. and its group companies, where that is necessary to answer your inquiry or prepare a quotation — always for the purposes described above;
- with service providers that operate or maintain our website, hosting and email systems on our behalf, under obligations of confidentiality;
- where we are required to disclose it by law, by a court, or by a competent authority.
Security and retention
We apply reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect the personal data we hold, and we limit access to the people who need it for the purposes described above. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep inquiry correspondence only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, and for the retention periods required by applicable Indonesian law — for example commercial and tax records. If you ask us to delete your personal data, we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Law of the Republic of Indonesia (Law No. 27 of 2022) you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or complete inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your personal data;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email sales.id@katavalvegroup.com with the subject “Privacy request”, stating your name and the email address you originally wrote from so that we can locate the correspondence. We respond within the timeframes set by law. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent Indonesian supervisory authority.
